The Secret Garden of the City: Luodong Forestry Culture Park
The Park used to be the vital lumber transfer hub of Taipingshan Forest Station. Wufen Train Rail (the half-gauge train rail) and Jhulin Station were constructed beside the log pond for ease of transportation. Forestry-related communities emerged and developed nearby as a result. The Park was officially registered as a cultural landscape according to the Cultural Heritage Preservation Act in 2012.
Trail of Tallow Trees with Fragrance of Woodchips
A trail amid the tallow trees with the fragrance of woodchips welcomes the tourists at the northern entrance of the Park. Whether it is rainy or sunny, a walk on the trail always feels refreshing. Facilities in the Park include the Ecological Pool (Log Pond), Aquatic Plant Pool, Aquatic Plant Exhibition, Steam Locomotive Exhibition, Forest Railway, and Pond Trail. Combined with functions of leisure, education, and culture, it is a fine site for ecological observation.

The park covers 47 hectares of land and it includes a range of facilities for sport including basketball and a swimming pool. The park is divided into four sections that include: forest area, sport area, waterscapes, and other landscapes.

The three gods enshrined in Sanqing Palace, the main temple of Taoism, are the highest gods in the Taoist Wuji Realm. That is, the Yuqing Yuanshi Datianzun, the Shangqing Lingbao Datianzun, and the Taiqing Daodeda Tianzun, collectively referred to as: "Three Qing Daozu".

About seven kilometers away from Luodong City, it is located at the foothills of Meihua Lake in Dongshan Township, Yilan County. It is a majestic building that embodies the essence of Chinese classical architecture, with a grand and majestic structure.

In January 1971, the Third Council Meeting of the First Session of the Taoist Church of the Republic of China (Chinese Taoist Federation) decided to designate the Meihua Lake Sanqing Temple in Yilan County as the "General Taoist Temple of the Republic of China" to serve as a platform for Taoist groups across Asia. and a contact center for Taoists.

All the gods in the Taoist main temple are worshiped according to the Taoist system. There are no gods from other religions. All rituals and rituals are also based on the Methodist system, which has a great mission for the inheritance of Taoism.

The lake was originally named Dapi Lake. In 1970s, President Chiang Ching-kuo visited the area and was impressed by its beauty, hence naming it Meihua Lake.

The photogenic rural roads span vast lush fields and are popular with hikers and cyclists.
